Welcome to your Mount Rainier escape ON the Copper Creek! Named after our pup, Ranger our newly renovated tiny home boarders Copper Creek, is just 4 min (2.4 miles) from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park and a 2 min walk from the famous Copper Creek Restaurant. Basecamp here with a queen bed, kitchenette, gas fireplace, walk-in shower and private hot tub. The perfect micro-cabin to call home after your adventures in the national park.

Good to know

The Ranger's Station sits about 15 feet from the Copper Creek. The cozy studio cabin is setup with 1 queen bed, small kitchenette, walk-in shower and gas fireplace. Kitchenette includes a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, coffee maker and sink for your essential meals after a long day on the mountain. All-in-one laundry unit included regardless if you have an extended stay or just need to do a quick load of laundry after a long day in the park. Relax, listen to the neighboring Copper Creek and sooth those sore muscles in the private hot tub located behind the cabin ON the creek and surrounded by towering trees. We are a 1.5 minute walk to the famous Copper Creek Restaurant. Let them cook and order takeout or dine-in for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Their huckleberry pie is incredible! Our home is NOT in a development. This is very rare for Ashford as most homes are very close to their neighbors and in cabin communities/developments. We are right off the main road into Mount Rainier National Park and neighboring our larger cabin, "Ranger's Creekside Cabin." We love the convenience, but note that you will hear some road noise. The property does not share any amenities with the neighboring cabin. We are also 150 feet away, and across the creek from the Copper Creek Restaurant.

Other Details to Note

Snow: In the winter, you may encounter snow so please be prepared with AWD and/or tire chains. Our driveway is short, though can be icy. We try and keep it plowed as often as we can, but there may be times that you'll need to drive in snow and ice (weather dependent). Power Outages: Every once in a while the power goes out in Ashford during a heavy winter storm. Of course our gas stove will keep you warm, but we do also provide bottled water, a propane stove (with propane) and lanterns/flashlights just in case this happens. Note that the hot tub, well water, electric heat and WIFI all require electricity :) Cell phone service: Verizon is fairly on/off with service but we have not tested the other carriers. Our Starlink WIFI is fast and reliable. Events: Our home is not suitable for events. All guests should be listed on your reservation, please let us know if you are expecting anyone. SUMMER WEEKEND BOOKINGS: We love that we're neighbors with the Copper Creek Restaurant. They also run a wedding venue that is just behind our property. If they have booked a wedding the weekend of your stay, you will hear crowd/music noise for just that evening. Something to keep in mind! NEIGHBOR CABIN: to reiterate, you can think of this cabin as a "mother-in-law" to the main cabin that sits about 500 feet away (and farther from the creek). the larger cabin is booked separately. This is in a private location and does not share any amenities of the property. Please reach out if you would like to book both for your stay, we are happy to coordinate.

Our stay at Ranger Station was everything we had hoped for and more, all thanks to Grant. He was super responsive and communicative, provided great recommendations, and made us feel right at home. We went to Copper Creek Restaurant both nights we stayed at Ranger Station, which was a short walk away, very well priced, and delicious. After hiking up Mount Rainier all day, it was so relaxing and peaceful to only have a short drive away and be able to relax in the hot tub with the sounds of the backyard creek. The space was very well stocked and decorated and appreciated the Ranger branded items throughout as a nice special touch. Could not ask for a better experience and host and would love to come back again!

We loved staying here! Such a cute little cabin, loved the sounds of the stream and the hot tub. Super convenient to get into the national park. Road sounds are definitely loud during the day but it was expected, and it was quiet at night!

The stay was smooth and without a hitch. Grant was proactive in providing us instructions and flashlights when the power went out in the county. The place had everything we needed and was in close proximity to the entrance to Mt. Rainier. Would recommend!

Quick drive to Mt. Rainier entrance. Quick walk to Copper Creek restaurant. Hot tub is a nice end to a long day of hiking. Cute interior design, very clean. Would be great in the fall/winter months with the heating/gas stove. Got a little hot in the summertime and there wasn’t a fan, but it eventually cooled down late at night with windows open. The washer/dryer is a major plus.

Ranger’s Station was exactly as the reviews and Grant described it. Beautiful, cozy cabin!! Right in the heart of Mt. Rainier park! Easily one of our favorite things was the hot tub. We were able to relax with the river right behind you, and the lights just made evenings very peaceful, as well as unforgettable! And it allowed us to rest our legs especially after long hikes. I’d highly encourage anyone to book here because Grant is a fantastic host and the place is just breathtaking. I hope to see at one of his other places another time!!

Our stay here was fantastic. Grant was quick to respond to any questions and he left great recommendations. The cabin was perfect and a great distance to the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier. It is also just a very very short walk to the Coppers Inn restaurant which we visited twice in our 2 nights there. We would definitely recommend this cabin and hope to return in the future!
