Other Details to Note

Pets: Pets are allowed for a $75 fee, please let us know in advance so we can send through our rules as we do have neighbors and prefer them to stay on leash. Stairs: there are a few sets of stairs guests will need to take to get to 1) the cabin and 2) the lake. Please see photos for details. Parking: There are 2 parking spots available, parallel to the fence (see pictures.) No more than 2 cars allowed so please plan accordingly. Driveway: The driveway is steep, so no RV's or campers. Kayak: Guests are free to use the kayak. Please ensure the kayak is placed back on the dock after each use. Use at your own risk. Any damage will be charged to guest via Airbnb. Power Outages: Every once in a while the power goes out on Lake Whitman during a heavy winter storm (there are a lot of trees around!!). We try our best to have bottled water, a bbq and lanterns/flashlights just in case this happens. Note that the well water, electric heat and WIFI all require electricity :) Cell phone service: Verizon seems to be the most consistent (though with a very week signal) but we have not tested the other carriers. Our WIFI is quick but do note that you are in the “wilderness” and often times WIFI cuts in and out. Events: Our home is not suitable for events. All guests should be listed on your reservation, please let us know if you are expecting anyone.

Whitman Lake is a very quiet, residential lake nestled in the trees outside of both Eatonville and Graham. Motor boats are restricted to under 8 MPH so you end up seeing a lot of kayakers and slow fishing boats. Just 15 minutes down the road you'll find Graham with a proper Safeway grocery store and plenty of restaurants. 15 minutes in the other direction you'll find Eatonville, that is home to our favorite watering hole, Millhause Cider.

Guest Access

You'll have access to the entire house and yard including the private lakefront and dock (though please stay within bounds to respect our neighbor's privacy. The property also includes a fire pit (firewood not provided)

The location was incredible. beautiful view every morning, from the lake side, to bird watching. we'll worth the drive and money spent. the neighbors aren't sharing a fence with you, which allows for privacy, and the elevation change between the cabin and the road helps with battling the noise. A great retreat to get away from the stresses of life and to slow down a little.
