Welcome to your Mount Rainier escape. Named after our pup, Ranger our beautiful chalet boarders Copper Creek, is just 4 min (2.4 miles) from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park and a 2 min walk from the famous Copper Creek Restaurant. Basecamp here with 1 private bedroom, 1 huge private loft with 2 queen beds, a large deck and a relaxing hot tub. The perfect cabin to call home after your adventures in the national park. We are one of the few Ashford cabins that are not in a development!
Good to know
1 private bedroom featuring a queen bed and 1 private loft with 2 queen beds + a sleeper futon for the kiddos. Full sized kitchen has all of the basic cooking essentials needed for a family-sized dinner after a long day in the mountains. Open floor-plan provides the perfect space to enjoy each other's company. Cozy up by the wood-burning stove, cuddle up on the large sectional couch and watch Netflix while you unwind. Laundry units included if you have an extended stay or just need to do a quick load of laundry after a long day in the park. Relax, listen to the neighboring Copper Creek and sooth those sore muscles in the private and covered hot tub. Located in the backyard just off the deck and surrounded by nature. We are a 1.5 minute walk to the famous Copper Creek Restaurant. Let them cook and order takeout or dine-in for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Their huckleberry pie is incredible! Our home is NOT in a development. This is very rare for Ashford as most homes are very close to their neighbors and in cabin communities/developments. We are right off the main road into Mount Rainier National Park. We love the convenience, but note that you may hear some road noise. We are also 150 feet away, and across the creek from the Copper Creek Restaurant.
Other Details to Note
Snow: In the winter, you may encounter snow so please be prepared with AWD and/or tire chains. Our driveway is short, though can be icy. We try and keep it plowed as often as we can, but there may be times that you'll need to drive in snow and ice (weather dependent). Power Outages: Every once in a while the power goes out in Ashford during a heavy winter storm. Of course our wood burning stove will keep you warm, but we do also provide bottled water, a propane stove (with propane) and lanterns/flashlights just in case this happens. Note that the hot tub, well water, electric heat and WIFI all require electricity :) Cell phone service: Verizon is fairly on/off with service but we have not tested the other carriers. Our Starlink WIFI is fast and is fairly reliable. Events: Our home is not suitable for events. All guests should be listed on your reservation, please let us know if you are expecting anyone. Pets: If coordinated in advance, pets are allowed! A few quick rules: - Please keep your pups on-leash while outside. As you can see, we do not have a fully fenced yard. - Please pickup after your dog while outside so our next guests have a clean yard. - Please no dogs on the furniture. SUMMER WEEKEND BOOKINGS: We love that we're neighbors with the Copper Creek Restaurant. They also run a wedding venue that is just behind our property. If they have booked a wedding the weekend of your stay, you will hear crowd/music noise for just that evening. Something to keep in mind! NEIGHBOR CABIN: there is a neighbor “tiny” cabin along the creek, near the road (about 500 feet from the main cabin) that will be booked separately. This is in a private location and does not share any amenities of the property. Please reach out if you would like to book both for your stay, we are happy to coordinate.
