Ranger's A-Frame w/ Hot Tub on 5 Acres

Ashford, WA, United States

8 guests
3 bedrooms
1 bathroom

Escape to Ranger's A-Frame, your cozy retreat just 8 min (4.8 miles) from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Nestled on 5 private acres of lush forest, our cabin offers 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies, 2 spacious decks, and a soothing hot tub—ideal for unwinding after a day of adventure. Unlike most rentals in Ashford, our cabin isn’t in a development, giving you true privacy and a deeper connection to nature. Perfect for families, couples, or friends looking to explore and relax in comfort.

Good to know

Our cozy A-frame cabin features 3 private bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed—perfect for families or small groups. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook a hearty meal after a day exploring Mount Rainier National Park. The open floor plan invites connection, whether you're gathered around the dining table, lounging on the oversized couch, or curling up by the wood-burning stove for a night in. Unwind in the private hot tub under a blanket of stars—tucked just off the back deck and surrounded by towering trees. The home sits on 5 forested acres (not in a development!), offering rare seclusion for Ashford. While we do have neighbors, they’re acres away—providing true peace and quiet. Planning a longer stay? Take advantage of the in-unit washer and dryer—great for extended visits or a quick load after a hike. Heating: We primarily rely on our wood-burning stove to heat our home. We will provide firewood, kindling and fire starters for your stay. We do have an in-wall electric heater that does a pretty good job of keeping the place warm, but in the deep winter you'll want to use the wood-burning stove. Instructions are included in the manual. Our driveway is shared with the property behind us so we ask that you park in the designated gravel parking areas and not on the driveway itself to allow for vehicles to pass by to the back property (5+ acres away).

Other Details to Note

Snow: In the winter, you may encounter snow so please be prepared. AWD and/or tire chains are recommended but not required. Our driveway is flat, though can be icy. We try and keep it plowed as often as we can, but there may be times that you'll need to drive in snow and ice (weather dependent). Power Outages: Every once in a while the power goes out in Ashford during a heavy winter storm. Of course our wood burning stove will keep you warm, but we do also provide bottled water, a propane stove (with propane) and lanterns/flashlights just in case this happens. Note that the hot tub, well water, electric heat and WIFI all require electricity :) Cell phone service: Verizon seems to be pretty consistent with service but we have not tested the other carriers. Our WIFI is quick but do note that you are in the “wilderness” and often times WIFI cuts in and out. Events: Our home is not suitable for events. All guests should be listed on your reservation, please let us know if you are expecting anyone. Pets: pets are not allowed at the cabin. Thank you for understanding. Our driveway is shared with the property behind us so we ask that you park in the designated gravel parking areas and not on the driveway itself to allow for vehicles to pass by to the back property (5+ acres away).

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was cozy, clean, and in a beautiful and private area. It was awesome being just minutes from Mt Rainier National Park, and we were able to get up the mountain and into the snow in about 25-30 minutes. The host was super responsive and friendly. We would definitely visit here again!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly located for exploring Mount Rainier. The host was responsive and everything worked smoothly. The hot tub was such a great bonus after long days of hiking — I only wish it had a roof so we could enjoy it even during rainy weather. Other than that small detail, everything was truly awesome. Highly recommend!

This was a FANTASTIC getaway! Grant was extremely responsive, the place was great, and we loved our stay overall. Very comfortable and we felt right at home. Super cute place, well maintained, and great location next to MRNP. They even had a Christmas tree up at the cabin, which made it feel super cozy! Highly recommend!
